Real nice buck making a showing

My buddy Mark's camera has been capturing some solid action of the same bucks I have been seeing.  Take a look at these pictures of this bad boy giving the camera some up close and personal views.  This bruiser better watch out come opening day!  The bucks still seem to be running in bachelor groups as evidenced by the first photo.  On my cameras, I have pictures of 6-10 does...  so hopefully in a few weeks when the first rut starts, they'll get moving all over again.

I was hunting with my father-in-law (FIL) a month ago, just outside Llano, TX. Its an area of Texas with rolling hills, mesquite trees, cactus, and thickets of thistle brush. Truly beautiful country. We arrived at the camp at about 2pm, and knew we were going to make an afternoon hunt. We chose our blinds, and I went to this blind called Big Moo. Mainly because its a ground blind and there are frequently lots of cows around being in the middle of a 2300 acre cattle ranch. My FIL is friends with the guy on this lease, and he has invited us out there the past few years. We can shoot a buck, a doe, and as many hogs as we see. So I get to my ground blind, and its a box blind that could easily accomodate 2 people, but its old and has 4 huge windows. Pretty much looks like 4 sheets of plywood with a plywood roof, painted dark green, very homegrown. It serves it purpose. So, I am settled in, have my binoculars up and am glassing the area. Review of my Polaris Sportsman 550 XP

First off, I love this 4wheeler.  Part of the reason I love it is due to the fact that I needed it so badly to do work on my lease, the other reason is that it has all the features I wanted and then some.  The Polaris Sportsman 550 is a very big rig.  Bigger than I realized in fact.  I have had it now for approximately 4 months, and taken it on many trips to the lease.  The pros: 1)  It is very strong.  There is no doubt it has the muscle.  Towing a trailer full of corn, me, a passenger, and 2 cargo racks full of gear was effortless.  Keep in mind that when I was shopping for a 4wheeler, I was thinking I could get a 350 or 400 size rig that had an automatic tranny, but this was not true (or I didn't see one), so the Polaris 550 was the smallest motor that had an automatic, and I happen to like the Polaris look/feel. 2)  I like the composite rack and with the lock & ride accessory items.  I have the gun boot and this new car...
